Why does "ENABLE CONNECTED TEXTURES" appear written on Minecraft blocks

This text is built into the pack. When you see it written on stone, grass, or other blocks, it means connected textures are turned off.

The pack writes "ENABLE CONNECTED TEXTURES" on every untextured block as a built-in hint. Quick fix: in OptiFine set Video Settings → Quality → Connected Textures to Fancy. On Iris+Fabric, install the Continuity mod.

Which shader loader are you using?

Iris does not have CTM built in — you need the Continuity mod alongside Iris.

  1. Download Continuity from Modrinth (https://modrinth.com/mod/continuity) for your Minecraft version
  2. Drop the .jar into .minecraft/mods/ alongside Iris + Sodium
  3. Restart Minecraft. The hint text disappears immediately.

OptiFine has CTM built in. Open Options → Video Settings → Quality → Connected Textures → Fancy. If already on Fancy and still seeing the hint, your OptiFine version is too old — update to the latest preview.

The "ENABLE CONNECTED TEXTURES" hint only applies to Java Edition. If you're seeing it on Bedrock, you downloaded the wrong edition.
