Why is the Optimum Realism pack not showing in the resource pack list
Three common causes: wrong folder (must be .minecraft/resourcepacks/, not mods/), double-zipped (extra folder inside the zip), or downloaded the wrong edition (Bedrock .mcpack file won't show up in Java, and vice versa).

Which edition did you download?
The .zip needs to go in .minecraft/resourcepacks/ — NOT in .minecraft/mods/. Mods and resource packs are different things.
- In Minecraft: Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder
- Drop the downloaded .zip directly inside (don't unzip it)
- Close and reopen the Resource Packs screen — pack should appear
- Click the right arrow to move it to "Selected", then click Done
For Bedrock, double-click the .mcpack file outside Minecraft. Bedrock auto-imports it. Then enable it in your world settings.
Java needs .zip. Bedrock needs .mcpack. If you have the wrong format, head back to the download page and pick the right edition for your game.
That's just a "made for an older version" warning — click "Yes" and load it. The pack almost always works fine on slightly different versions.
