How do I install Optimum Realism on Minecraft Bedrock (MCPE)

Download the .mcpack file from the download page, double-click it to import (Bedrock handles this automatically), then enable it in your world's resource packs. For RTX effects, also turn on Ray Tracing in the world's Experiments settings BEFORE joining.

Step 1

Download the Bedrock version

On the download page, pick the Bedrock edition — file extension is .mcpack, not .zip. Bedrock ships at 64x (free), 128x, and 256x via Patreon.

Step 2

Double-click the .mcpack file

On Windows, the .mcpack opens Minecraft and auto-imports. On Android, tap the file and pick "Open with Minecraft". On iOS, tap → Share → Open in Minecraft. On Xbox/PlayStation, file imports work only via Minecraft Marketplace — see the note below.

If double-click doesn't open Minecraft, right-click → Open With → Minecraft. The file must be accessible by Minecraft (not behind app sandboxing).

Step 3

Enable the pack on your world

Bedrock applies resource packs per-world, not globally. For each world you want the pack on:

  • Edit world Pencil icon next to the world
  • Resource Packs Left sidebar
  • My Packs → Optimum Realism Tap "Activate"
  • Reorder if needed Top of the active list = highest priority
Step 4 (for RTX)

Enable Ray Tracing BEFORE entering the world

RTX has to be on the moment you join — toggling it inside a world doesn't work. Go to Edit world → Experiments → Ray Tracing → On → Save. Then click Play.

Needs an RTX 20-series or newer NVIDIA GPU. If your hardware doesn't support RTX, the pack still works as a high-res texture pack with PBR materials.
