Which Minecraft version is Optimum Realism for

The current release (R3.8.0) targets the latest Minecraft (1.26.x). Older versions are covered by earlier releases — R3.6.0 for 1.21.x, and 1.20 and below via the Patreon archive.

Optimum Realism tracks recent Minecraft versions. Pick the release that matches the version you play:

  • Minecraft 1.26.x (latest) — R3.8.0, the current build. R3.7.0 is the previous 1.26.x build and is still selectable.
  • Minecraft 1.21.x — R3.6.0.
  • Minecraft 1.20.x and older — served from the Patreon archive posts.

You choose the version on the download page (and in your account) with the "Minecraft version" dropdown. Both Java and Bedrock are on the latest release.

Loading a pack built for a different version shows a "made for an older version" warning — usually safe to accept, but matching versions avoids missing or broken textures.
